TRANSISTOR AS SWITCH

Transistor as Switch
Summary
This simple circuit can be used in various application like alarm circuits,in electronics control circuit to on and off the device,in flash light control circuits etc.
Description
The working of this circuit is based on  well-known darling ton phenomenon of transistor. In darling ton pair two transistor are connected in such a way that current amplified by First transistor(T1)is amplified by second transistor (T2).By connecting the two transistor in such a way will give you a more gain then the individual transistor will provide. The idea is both transistor will share the common collector.
Working of this circuit is very simple In this first transistor’s emitter feeds into the second transistor’s base and as a result the input signal is amplified by the time it reaches the output.when light fall on photocell its resistance will reduce. The bias voltage is supplied to the transistor up and this voltage is enough to make transistor and relay work.We have also connected a variable resistor on the base of transistor to adjust the sensitivity.
